My Mission
The goal here, as always, is to translate the noises in my head into enjoyable music which in someway enlightens your soul, raises your vibrational energy, and makes your world a better richer place. I'd like to win a Grammy or two as well. A tall order I know, but that’s the boulder I’m rolling up the hill.
I especially hope to tear you away from the myriad distractions of modern life long enough to engage you and bring you some joy during a live performance, so please be sure to come to a show or watch a recorded show (soon).
Albert Who?
Albert Del Rio is a world-class singer songwriter, performer, and composer.
His style has been called "a unique blend of passion and rhythm" with "haunting vocals" and "a clever offbeat lyrical approach." His music has elements of country, folk, blues and soul, often driven by a powerful groove.
Albert’s high-energy solo acoustic show is a powerful showcase of cathartic vocals, catchy grooves, innovative guitar playing, lyrical force, and funny faces. You be the judge.
Biography
Proudly raised in the farm country of the great state of New York, Albert took the stage guitar in hand after years of being the drummer and vocalist for The Smokehouse Prohpets (Blues/Rock). Albert has earned two awards for "Best of NYC Singer Songwriter" from UMO Music NYC, has performed as a featured artist for the Songwriter's Hall of Fame Showcase, has been a finalist at the Mountain Stage New Song Festival, and has been a featured artist at International Folk Alliance.
Family duties intervened and Albert took a break from performing for the last 12 years. He is getting spooled up now to the continue his musical journey, and work on finally winning that Grammy.
